[phono-tx] class 2 malocclusion and lateralization

Hi,
Looks like my posts got chopped, here's my issue I have a 6 year old student that I'm monitoring for lateralizing. He is inconsistently lateralizing his /s/, /z/, depending on sound position in the word and very consistently lateralizing his "sh", "ch" and "g" as in "orange" in all positions. Recent dental exam revealed class 2 malocclusion as I have been noticing during stimulability testing that he is having difficulties getting dental closure to centralize that air flow.
Should I continue to try therapy or wait for the dentist to deal with the bite? Any recommendations/suggestions or advice in regards to dealing with jaw placement would be appreciated.

Regards,
R.Jun
