[phono-tx] A clear 'l' produced with a wrong production

Dear all,

I've been working with a boy (4 years 4 months old). I've recently started working on the 'l' sound with him. Interestingly, both mum and I think (and have heard) his 'l' productions (including clusters) were of good clarity but I'm sure that he did not raise his tongue up. Mum and I were 'puzzled' about how he could do it.

We're up to a stage that the 'l' does not seem to affect his overall speech intelligibility and hence mum would like to stop therapy for a while which I agree with.

I would like to check with others and ensure it's a right thing to let him go. What do others think?

Thanks a lot!

Karen
