Hi Everyone
I have uploaded a file about my client MC, whom I wrote about a few weeks ago.
After just 6 sessions of targeting the sounds /g/, /m/ and /f/, his gains have
generalised in coversational level to all plosives in all positions in
words, and his error patterns are less ideosyncratic and more typical of
developmental phonological processes.
Thanks to Caroline for all the advice she has given. I will now be using
minimal pair therapy and multiple oppositon therapy to target marked sounds and
sounds with more phoneme collapses.
I am extremely excited about this, as it is the first time I have used
the 'newer' approaches to choosing therapy targets, as well as the Miccio
Stimulability therapy (I will be reassessing his stimulability for the erroneous
sounds tomorrow).
Gail.
