[phono-tx] Re: class 2 malocclusion and lateralization

 

I have a similar case where the child is palatalising 'sh' and has a very severe overbite/underdeveloped lower jaw. It might be interesting to know that his dentist told me they would not be able to do anything about it until at least 7 years of age but quite possibly as late as 12 years! That seems quite a long time to wait, to me, to correct the speech.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer so would also be very interested to read the responses of others on this.
