I do remember speech therapy and speech homework as a child! I must have been in grade one or two, and I had a frontal lisp. I don't think there were any other goals at all, so in this day and age I probably wouldn't have gotten any therapy at all! I have shadowy memories of sitting at a desk at the bottom of the stairwell at Riverside Public School in Huntsville, Ontario. I remember a small yellow notebook with sheets of paper folded in half and glued in with pictures of lips and tongues and presumably practice words to say.
This is going back a good 32 or 33 years, so my memories aren't that strong! I don't remember doing homework at home, but I must have (as I no longer have a lisp!!) There's also the chance that I just outgrew it, too. I'll have to ask my parents!

Subject: [phono-tx] all about speech homework
Is there anyone on the list who REMEMBERS doing speech homework as a child?
Was it fun? Interesting? Terrible? Why?
