[ShovelBums.Org] Field Supervisor/Crew Chief (Archaeologist II)

Field Supervisor/Crew Chief (Archaeologist II)

Before you pass up this opportunity, let us tell you about the Bismarck-Mandan metro-area. Our growing area overlooks the Missouri river and has a population approaching 100,000. Bismarck has street fairs, an urban market, live music, new restaurants, and art galleries. Parks, trails, sports events, historic sites, yoga, aquatics, golfing, drumming classes, a fledgling public transportation system, public and private schools and universities, arts, volunteer, and creative organizations keep a person busy. All of this, at a cost of living you can afford with wide-open spaces and little traffic. Most of all, we have exceptionally nice people to get to know.

Don't take our word for it – here is what others have had to say: In 2007, Forbes magazine named Bismarck-Mandan #2 as one of the Top Best Small Places for Business in America. Bismarck is becoming noticed nationwide, and has been designated the:

#1 Most Secure Place to Live Farmers Insurance, June 2005
#1 Least Stressful Small City Sperling's Best Places, Jan. 2004
#2 Best Small Place for Business and Careers Forbes Magazine, April 2007
#3 Safest Metro Area in America Morgan Quinto, Oct. 2007
#7 Most Secure U.S. Place Sperling's Best Places, Dec. 2007
Entrepreneurial Community of the Year Marketplace 2006

The most important aspect of this list is that it is for one purpose only.: announcing jobs/non paying volunteer postings in the international CRM field at all levels; Field Tech, Professors, SHPO's, etc...  Caveat Emptor though my friends.  Not all jobs pay the same, nor is their treatment of employees the same - as the companies are checking your references, you should also check them out - make sure they pay fair wages, treat their employees professionally, and do quality work.  If you have at least a BA you deserve fair remuneration, so ask for it, and in turn you provide your employer with excellent service.   You ARE a trained professional, NOT a "shovelbum"  - the name is in jest - act professional, expect to be treated like one.
