I use my Mac laptop's built in camera and microphone to video all my clients for a language sample. I "interview" them and they love making the movie - it is a MUCH better record than an audio only sample. I occasionally use video to demonstrate phonological errors, but only if the child is old enough/confident enough to cope with the confrontation. Usually I just bring the error to their attention by using minimal pairs in a game. Facing someone with hard evidence of their errors can be horribly confronting for them.
