Crow Canyon Archaeological Center seeks a qualified applicant for the position of Supervisory Archaeologist ( full-time). This person plans and directs major archaeological excavations in the context of an ongoing public education program. He/she also disseminates research results through online databases, publications, and presentations for professional colleagues and the general public. The current excavation project is a multiyear investigation of a large Basketmaker III community in the central Mesa Verde region.
Qualifications: Advanced degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, and three years of experience excavating and documenting ancestral Pueblo sites or comparable sites. Demonstrated ability to supervise field work and produce descriptive reports.
