Cultural Resources / Archaeologist Supervisor - Reno, NV

Key Responsibilities
. Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Cultural Resources / Archaeology group in our Reno, NV office.
. Recommends measures to improve performance and increase efficiency.
. Coordinates activities of individuals assigned to maintain utilization goals.
. Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
. Interprets, implements, and enforces company policies.
. Responsible for monitoring quality of the unit's service delivery and implementing corrective measures.
. Serves as project manager for assigned small to medium sized projects
. Prepares reports and projections of labor and financial operations.
. Duties will include conducting background research; conducting and supervising field work; writing reports; working with databases; and coordinating all phases of work with clients.
. Work with spatial data (GIS), maps and GPS.
. The position requires travel and long term field assignments (0% to 60% in field) to locations throughout the Western US.
. Conduct a variety of business development activities and lead preparation of proposals.

Basic/Required Qualifications
. Master's degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
. 5+ years of experience in Cultural Resources / Archaeology.
. Supervisory experience on archaeological survey and testing projects required.
. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
. Strong PC and internet skills
. Demonstrated abilities in leadership, management, and administration.
. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting prehistoric and historic archaeological investigations and also possess a good working knowledge of cultural resource regulations and current standards for fieldwork and reporting.
. Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.

Preferred Qualifications
. Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) certification.
. Great Basin cultural resources experience.
. Eligible for BLM permit.
