Southwest Supervisory Archaeologist
Logan Simpson Design Inc. is seeking a full-time archaeologist to supervise cultural resources surveys, testing projects, and excavations throughout the southwest. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have completed an M.A. in Anthropology, and have 5 to 10 years of supervisory experience including at least 2 years of supervisory experience in the southwest. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and substantial experience independently preparing complex technical documents for cultural resources projects is essential. The ideal candidate must be eligible for permits to supervise fieldwork in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and/or New Mexico. Individuals must be familiar with the completion of survey and excavation forms, operating a GPS units with data recorder, and knowledgeable of local and federal cultural resources guidelines. The candidate must also be capable of supervising survey in remote locations and over steep terrain, must have a clean driving record, and must be able to work out-of-town when necessary.
