[ShovelBums.Org] 2-3 arch techs needed southern Missouri

C Dimensions, Inc. is looking for 2-3 archeological technicians for approximately 2 weeks of Phase I (survey) work in southern Missouri.

Work is currently ongoing and only personnel immediately available and within a few hundred miles of southern Missouri will be considered. All positions are full time temporary. No overtime is expected. Travel to the work region will be the responsibility of the employee. Travel of short distances each morning to liaise with the crew and crew vehicles to go to work areas may be necessary, but is not currently expected.

Entry-level archeological positions may be available to the right BA candidates (Anthropology) nearing graduation with a completed field school.

Commitment to the completion of the project is desirable. Please do not respond if you do not have the mandatory qualifications (listed below).

Housing will be provided in often remote areas, sometimes with few
conveniences (e.g., no internet access or nearby restaurants, etc.) and in houses, cabins, trailers, or other available facilities, but will be one person (or one couple both employed) per bedroom occupancy whenever possible (which will be almost always).

Mid-continent, southern Plains and/or Plains/Woodland margin experience mandatory. Experience and willingness to survey with an aggressive, hard-working crew in rugged terrain mandatory.

Work schedules may vary, and could include both traditional 5-day work weeks and 8-10 day (80 hr) sessions (with 4-5 days off), particularly if weather interrupts work. Housing will be provided during off sessions.

The most important aspect of this list is that it is for one purpose only.: announcing jobs/non paying volunteer postings in the international CRM field at all levels; Field Tech, Professors, SHPO's, etc...  Caveat Emptor though my friends.  Not all jobs pay the same, nor is their treatment of employees the same - as the companies are checking your references, you should also check them out - make sure they pay fair wages, treat their employees professionally, and do quality work.  If you have at least a BA you deserve fair remuneration, so ask for it, and in turn you provide your employer with excellent service.   You ARE a trained professional, NOT a "shovelbum"  - the name is in jest - act professional, expect to be treated like one.
