POSITION OPENING

ARCHAEOLOGIST

 

 

The Louis Berger Group, Inc. solicits applications for the position of Archaeologist in support of our expanding U.S. operations in the Western and Gulf regions.  We are looking for dedicated, self‑motivated individuals wishing to pursue quality archaeological research in a cultural resource management context.

 

Applicants must have a M.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology with a minimum of five  years archaeological experience in directing archaeological surveys, evaluations, and data recovery projects in the context of Section 106/110 compliance required.  Demonstrated experience directing the production of quality proposals, reports, managing multiple projects, managing personnel, and budgeting is essential.  A proven track record of winning and executing work in a "doer-seller" role is essential.

 

Desirable skills and experience include GIS, geoarchaeology, and technical writing (CRM reports and associated documentation).  The preferred candidate will have working familiarity with federal and state laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines governing cultural resources. Experience with Tribal consultation and NEPA documentation is a plus. Applicants must list their current permits and licenses.
