Project Overview:
ArdentMC is a leader in the design, development, implementation and support of
high performing information technology programs supporting national security
initiatives in the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and
Department of Justice.

ArdentMC is seeking a highly qualified GIS Systems Engineer to support all
aspects of the implementation of Geospatial Information Systems for our Federal
Civilian Practice.

The ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, a
background in information technology, an understanding of how geospatial
information systems (GIS) enable business process and existing datasets, an
understanding of leading geospatial technologies, the ability to work as a a
team member, and possess solid project management credentials. The Consultant
will have the opportunity for extensive upward mobility. If you feel your

Skills must have: GIS, JAVA

Responsibilities:
* Requirements gathering and documentation
* Developing a systems architecture for Windows and UNIX based
implementation of GIS Software
* GIS installation such as databases, and third party appliances
* Understand the nuances of managing, delivering and storing data sets
such as imagery
* Be familiar with ESRI products in both a JAVA-based implementation and a
.NET based implementation
* Provide subject matter expertise to the client in support of change
control and engineering review meetings
* Demonstrates strong problem solving and prioritization skills
* Support the technical implementation of a contractor-hosted development
lab to ensure a test-bed system is available for project support

* Implement Google Earth Technologies to evaluate their effectiveness as a
tool for Federal Civilian Visualization


Qualifications/Education:
* Minimum of 5 years IT experience
* Minimum 4 years of GIS Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field, or
equivalent experience

* Professional and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to pass a background check
