Richard Grubb & Associates (RGA) is currently seeking a motivated and talented GIS Technician to work in our Cranbury, New Jersey office. The successful candidate must have a Associate or Bachelors's degree or certificate in Anthropology, Geography, Environmental Science or closely related field with an emphasis on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and a minimum of at least two (2) years experience conducting GIS work and cartographic analysis. Prior experience in cultural resources management and Middle Atlantic archaeology is preferred but not required.
Duties of the GIS Technician will include: application of GIS principles, practices and functions using ESRI 9.3 including Spatial and 3D Analyst; Expert GPS; georeferencing of imagery and maps; GPS data collection and processing; analysis of archaeological data; data management; maintain digital geospatial data, attribute databases, and metadata; simple to complex spatial analysis for archaeologists and architectural historians; presentation of detailed and concise cartographic output; surface interpolation, including from LiDAR; and Microstation and or AutoCAD experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, have the ability to manage priorities, and meet project deadlines and budgets.
This will be a part-time position with the potential to become a full-time permanent position. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
