Field Archaeologists at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California
North Wind, Inc. (www.northwind-inc.com) is accepting resumes for qualified field archaeologists to work on a project at Vandenberg Air Force Base near Lompoc, California. Positions require a degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field. Preference will be given to qualified local applicants who are already located near Lompoc. Highly desirable qualifications include RPA and/or field experience in coastal California archaeology. HAZWOPER 40-hour also desirable. Positions are available starting immediately and will likely run through June 2010. Work will generally entail 50+ hours of fieldwork per work week Monday through Friday. Regular pay rate is $23.37/hour and overtime pay will be one-and-one-half-times the regular rate of pay. Vandenberg Air Force Base is designated as a closed installation; therefore applicants will be required to submit their full name, contact information, country of citizenship, date of birth, and driver’s license or social security number in order to obtain base access.
