I’ve pasted the details for a new position we just received word of today. This is a Junior Archaeology position located in Fort Carson, CO.

 

Archaeologist-Junior – Fort Carson, CO - 988

Company Overview:

ICI Services is an 8(a) certified Small Disadvantaged and Veteran-Owned Small Business providing engineering, logistics, environmental, range and base operating services to the United States Navy, Army, Air Force, Department of Homeland Security and other Federal Government Agencies.

Responsibilities:

Employee will take direction from a field crew leader (i.e. Archaeologist, Mid-Sr. Level) to complete data collection contractual requirements for Phase I, Phase I-intensive, and Phase II surveys.  The survey methods will include data collection, surveys (shovel testing, walkover, and surface observation) and site documentation and post-field documentation for contract deliverable reports.

 

Requirements:

 

• A summer internship in Archaeology is preferred. 

Some experience conducting cultural resource survey on a military reservation is a plus.

 

Educational Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree in archaeology or other relevant area.

 

Salary:

$38,500 per year (Please note: salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.)
