Archaeological Technician at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Edinburgh, Indiana
MacDonald-Bedford LLC, a professional Architectural/Engineering/Environmental/Construction (AEC) consulting firm with particular expertise in program, project, construction and facilities management, seeks a full-time Archaeological Technician to perform a variety of technical support and assistance work in connection with the implementation of the Integrated Cultural Resource Management Plan (ICRMP). The work includes reconnaissance surveys, investigative reports, site monitoring and participation in meetings in support of the Cultural Resource Manager. The location of the work will be at the Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Edinburgh, Indiana, with occasional travel to other National Guard-managed properties and to required training events. It is expected that the job will warrant a minimum of 65-75% of time spent in the field. This a full time position with benefits.
Requisite background: 2 years demonstrated capability in archaeology or anthropology; a Bachelor's degree in the area(s) of expertise is highly desirable; experience working in support of the military or other state/federal agency is preferred. A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required and a favorable completion of FBI fingerprint History Check must be completed. A driving record check will be required.
This is for full time employment. Salary is $44-46K, based upon experience, licenses, certifications, etc. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Immediate fill position.
