[ShovelBums.Org] Archaeological Technician Positions Open

 

Field Technicians

Montgomery Archaeological Consultants (MOAC), a consulting firm based in Moab, Utah, is currently hiring for several large survey projects in Utah. B.A. degree in Anthropology/Archaeology or a closely related field and a field school or equivalent field experience required. Experience in the Intermountain West and/or Southwest is preferred, although is not a prerequisite. Duties will include pedestrian survey, identifying historic and prehistoric sites, GIS mapping, and site recordation.

The position pays $14.00 or more based on education and experience, plus $35.00/day per diem. Housing is usually single-occupancy motel room. All work over 40 hrs will be paid at time and a half. This job opportunity will last until early Fall 2011.
