Archeologist Seattle, WA
TEC Inc, an international consulting company is seeking an Archaeologist for Seattle, WA office.
Summary: Reconstructs record of extinct cultures, especially preliterate cultures: Studies, classifies, and interprets artifacts, architectural features, and types of structures recovered by excavation in order to determine age and cultural identity. Establishes chronological sequence of development of each culture from simpler to more advanced levels.
Report to: Office Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
• Directing data management for NEPA projects
• Directing small cultural resource projects
• Marketing local clients
• Writing reports and sections of EA's/EIS
• Organizing fieldwork, maintaining schedule and budget
• Inventory, processing and curation management of archaeological materials
Minimum Qualifications Required:
• BA degree in Archeology or Anthropology
• Excellent written, oral and computer skills
• Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Training and Experience:
• Experience in Archeological Survey
• Experience with report writing, summary of research
• Experience managing small projects
• Experience in organizing and inventorying data

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Additional Considerations: May be required to work in project locations remote from their home office for extended time periods, and such remote deployments may recur with as little as three (3) calendar days intervening between deployments.
