ASM Affiliates, Inc. is a cultural resources management firm with more than 34 years of experience conducting archaeological, historic, architectural history, and ethnographic studies throughout the western United States. ASM has offices in Idaho, Nevada, California, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. We are currently accepting resumes for temporary archaeological crew and crew chief positions for projects anticipated in northern Nevada and Idaho during the 2011 field season.
To be considered, applicants must demonstrate prior completion of an archaeological field school, with survey and/or excavation experience in Idaho and/or the Great Basin preferred. Applicants should be physically fit, able to walk long distances while carrying loads up to 20-25 lbs, and willing to work in a variety of environments and challenging conditions. Crew chief applicants must demonstrate supervisory experience with field crews, good organizational and communication skills, and have sufficient education and regional experience to be added to ASM’s cultural resource permits. Positions will be filled on a project-by-project basis and wages will be commensurate with experience and education.
