We are seeking a Cultural Resources Project Manager for our office located in Bismarck, North Dakota, a growing western city offering unrivaled economic stability, affordable housing, and access to abundant outdoors activities. The Cultural Resources Project Manager will help expand SWCA's professional reputation in environmental consulting by providing assistance on projects in his or her area of expertise. This is a regular, full-time, salaried position reporting to the Bismarck Cultural Resources Lead. Pay will be based on individual qualifications and experience.

Required Skills and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
· Manage projects within schedule and budget; manage milestones, subcontractors, technical staff, fieldwork, and written deliverables;
- Ensure that fieldwork, analysis, and reporting complies with SWCA QA/QC protocol;
- Remain current with Agency protocol for conducting cultural resources work, particularly in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. Experience in Minnesota and Iowa is a plus;
- Experience with tribal consultation and/or NAGPRA laws is a plus; coordination with tribal/government groups/personnel will be required;
- Assist with training and mentoring junior staff in Cultural Resource Management compliance;
- Work closely with SWCA's other managers and directors throughout the company to promote SWCA's business interests in adherence to its mission, vision, and values; and,
- Coordinate with clients to assist with SWCA's Rocky Mountain Plains' business development goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA or MA in environmental planning, science, archaeology, biology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cultural resource project management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Section 106 process, North Dakota Century Code/SHPO requirements, and regional regulations pertaining to cultural resources.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to cultural resources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster a friendly, positive, productive, and scholarly working relationship with team members.
- Proven experience with high-level agency consultation.
