[ShovelBums.Org] Archaeologist position Columbus Ohio

 

 

EMH&T, a civil engineering and environmental consulting company, is currently looking to fill a full time position for an archaeologist.  This position will include both fieldwork and office work.  The position will be based out of our Columbus, Ohio office.  Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, prior fieldwork experience, (preferably in the Ohio Valley region) and basic computer skills.  Familiarity with prehistoric and historic artifact identification a plus. 

 

Responsibilities include the ability to conduct Phase I fieldwork with minimal oversight and report to the project manager, conduct supervised fieldwork on more complex projects, ability to record data in the field, make observations and translate that information into reports.  The candidate will need to be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.  Ideal candidates will have some experience writing sections of CRM reports and experience with FCC projects.
