Archaeologist (Research Director) The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of federal cultural resources regulations and demonstrate an established area of analytical expertise and/or archaeological research interest. The candidate must be self motivated, work well in a team-oriented setting, be able to independently prepare technical documents, and have excellent written/verbal communication skills. Requirements include: · M.A. or Ph.D. in Anthropology. · 12 or more years of supervisory experience in the Great Basin, Intermountain, or Southwest regions. · Preparing scopes of work and cost estimates and meeting scope, schedule, and budget obligations. · Serving as project manager, lead technical person, and senior reviewer for large and technically complex cultural resource projects. · Independently prepare complex cultural resource technical reports, including testing plans and data recovery reports. · Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills. · Excellent knowledge of federal and state cultural resource regulations, technical guidelines, and professional archaeologist standards. · Must be currently listed or have the ability to be listed as a Principal Investigator on BLM cultural resources permits in western states.
