Archaeological Project Manager - 121005

 

Description: The Project Manager will direct and coordinate projects, which will include Class/Phase I surveys, Class/Phase II NRHP eligibility evaluations, Class/Phase III data recovery. The ideal candidate will be expected to manage an interdisciplinary, educated and experienced cultural resource staff committed to timely and knowledgeable investigation and reports. The candidate will also prepare management plans, research designs, agreement documents, and needs an excellent understanding of Section 106, the special requirements of federal and state agencies. Candidate is expected to have experience managing multiple simultaneous projects with multiple field crews. Experience in architectural surveys/planning studies, historic structure reports, determinations of eligibility and assessments of effects would be valuable. Other responsibilities include technical writing, document review, and editing professional cultural resource management reports. The candidate will be required to develop and manage budgets, interact with clients and develop business through marketing and proposal writing. Travel will be required. Requirements: We are seeking a self-motivated, hard-working individual with a graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in anthropology or a related field and 10 years experience in cultural resource management. The selected candidate will have experience managing budgets, a proven track record of completing archaeological research, supervisory experience, and a demonstrated ability to complete high quality cultural resource management reports.


This position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test and drug and alcohol testing during the course of your employment based upon HDR's Drug Testing and Drug Free Workplace Policy.
