We are seeking an Archaeologist – Crew Lead to lead field crews and support office efforts in our Bismarck, North Dakota office. Job Responsibilities:
•Fieldwork (survey, site recording, testing, monitoring, and data recovery) and/or supervising field crews
•Leadership (problem solving, decision making, team building, and conflict resolution)
•Professional site form preparation, research, and literature reviews
•Preparation of technical reports and historic evaluations
•Adherence to protocol
•Data QA/QC, organization, tracking
•Field GPS data collection using Trimble units
Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in anthropology, history, architectural history, or a closely related field required
•Experience in the northern Plains, Rocky Mountains, or Great Lakes region higly desired
•Background or experience in Historic Archaeology is a plus
•Field supervisory experience required
•Ability to be listed on federal and/or state permits required
•Effective communication skills
•Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork for long hours (sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, and at high altitudes) and to carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
