EXPERIENCED ARCHEOLOGIST VIA USAJOBS.GOV.

Civilian Positions are titled as: GS-0193-12: Archeologist

This position is located in the Environmental Business Line, Naval
Facilities Engineering Command Northwest, Silverdale, Washington. In
this position, you will serve as a Cultural Resources specialist
providing cultural resources expertise, coordination, and support to the
Naval Engineering Facilities Command Northwest and supported commands.

This position is a full-time temporary position not to exceed One Year.
Temporary appointments may be extended up to 2 years at the discretion
of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.

As an Archeologist, your duties may include, but are not limited to:

. Serving as a Cultural Resources specialist providing and
cultural resources expertise, coordination, and support.
. Performing Cultural Resources Studies.
. Preparing and reviewing documents to support project planning
and studies.
. Providing consultation services for Cultural Resources.

For applicants meeting the Basic Requirements, preference will be given
to those with experience identifying and evaluating Northwest Coast and
Plateau regional prehistoric, proto-historic, and/or historic-period
archaeological resources. In addition, applicants shall demonstrate
experience working with the Tribal Historic Preservation Officers or
cultural resources personnel at Northwest tribes.
