[ShovelBums.Org] Field Technicians - Denver - $12-14/hr - Per diem+housing (off days also)

Jessie Breternitz

PaleoWest Solutions in Archaeology, an Arizona-headquartered firm, is seeking to fill immediate
positions in our Denver office for Field Technicians for archaeological inventory, testing and data recovery work both inside and outside of Colorado. Travel to project sites is provided, by air as necessary. The project work is for an estimated 6-8 weeks on a 10 day on/4 day off fieldwork cycle. Field Technician positions pay $12-$14 per hour dependent upon experience. Overtime is anticipated. Per diem and housing are provided. Housing for off days will be provided, or travel home can instead be subsidized with equivalent housing-cost savings.

Bachelors degrees or better, field school completion, and prior experience are required for all positions. Applicants must be very fit, resilient, and forward-thinking, as field conditions may be difficult and arduous. Top performers will receive preference for future positions.

The most important aspect of this list is that it is for one purpose only.: announcing jobs/non paying volunteer postings in the international CRM field at all levels; Field Tech, Professors, SHPOs, etc...  Caveat Emptor though my friends.  Not all jobs pay the same, nor is their treatment of employees the same - as the companies are checking your references, you should also check them out - make sure they pay fair wages, treat their employees professionally, and do quality work.  If you have at least a BA you deserve fair remuneration, so ask for it, and in turn you provide your employer with excellent service.   You ARE a trained professional, NOT a "shovelbum"  - the name is in jest - act professional, expect to be treated like one.
