Laboratory Specialist (Historic Artifact Analyst)

R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc., a leading cultural resource management firm, is seeking a Laboratory Specialist in our New Orleans office. This job will entail assisting the Laboratory Supervisor with the daily operations in the lab, with historic artifact analyses, and in performing occasional fieldwork local to the New Orleans area.

Applicants must possess an M.A. or equivalent graduate-level degree in archaeology/anthropology, or a B.A. or B.S. degree in archaeology/anthropology and two or more years of laboratory experience, and have successfully completed an accredited field school.

Applicants should show demonstrated proficiency in the analyses of historic period artifacts through a record of contributions to the scholarly literature and/or to cultural resource management reports.

Designated a "top-ten" family-friendly business, R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. is a recipient of the National Trust's National Preservation Honor Award and of the U.S. Small Business Administration's Award of Excellence.

This is a full-time, salaried, permanent position with full benefits. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. EOE/AA. R.
