Hello pseudonym,
How old is your four year old in years;months? What I am really asking is,
is he old enough / ready enough for some of the PA goals that have been
proposed?
If he is only JUST four I don't think I would be too concerned about
'elpephant' (elephant) and 'ev-ry' (ever). Are they perhaps frozen forms
that surface when he tries complex utterances? Or does he have difficulty
with syllable structure in general? As Martin says, we really need more
examples. Do you discern any sort of pattern to what he does, and what are
you thinking with regard to ' something motoric' if you've discounted CAS?
What are his 'language issues'?
Best wishes,
Caroline

I currently have a 4 year old on my caseload who has a number of different
speech and langauge issues. We have worked successfully on a number of
typical phonological processes (e.g. cluster reduction) and individual
sounds, but I have become stuck on how to help him with his frequent (what I
am calling) 'syllabic spoonerisms'.
