SWCA is actively seeking a Cultural Resources Specialist for our Flagstaff office. This is a regular, full-time, hourly position that will report to the Office Director. The selected candidate will support existing projects in Northern Arizona as well as throughout the region. Pay rate will be based on individual qualifications and experience. This position has high potential for advancement.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in all aspects of projects, including fieldwork with extensive travel, research, and report writing
• Conduct and oversee field research, including inventory, data collection, monitoring, and analysis;
• Prepare proposals, reports, and other technical documents, monitor field procedures, and contribute to research designs;
• Work closely with SWCA planning staff to create cultural resources documents for (National Environmental Policy Act) NEPA compliance;

Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S. degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field strongly preferred, and at least two years of supervisory fieldwork and report completion experience required. Ability to travel extensively to support project fieldwork for any SWCA office required. Ability to be listed on SWCA permits. Experience in Arizona and/or within the consulting/CRM sphere a plus. Experience preparing cultural resources NEPA documentation a plus. Other qualifications include experience in scheduling and budgeting of projects related to cultural resources, excellent technical writing skills, a record of completing technical reports in a timely fashion, and ability to work independently as well as supervise small or large field crews. Ability to work with a variety of colleagues, clients, and agency representatives required. A commitment to quality and willingness to assume fiscal and scheduling responsibilities to projects of all sizes and scopes required.
