Thunderbird Archeology, a division of Wetland Studies & Solutions, Inc. (WSSI), a successful environmental consulting firm located in Gainesville, Virginia, is seeking to hire an entry level Field Supervisor, who will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigators and the Division Manager. The responsibilities for this full-time, permanent position will include conducting Phase I, II, and III investigations, archeological monitoring, and other more specialized projects; and the preparation of technical reports. Our work is primarily within the Northern Virginia region and crews commute to and from work sites from our Gainesville office.
An M.A. in Anthropology (or related field) is required and one– three (1-3) years of supervisory experience in cultural resource management project in the Mid Atlantic region is preferred. The successful applicant must also demonstrate the ability to manage field crews and meet project deadlines. Applicants may be asked to provide writing examples. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
