Best,

R. Joe

Principal Investigator

The Denver, Colorado, office of PaleoWest Archaeology--a progressive archaeological consulting firm with 4 offices in Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming--is searching for a Principal Investigator.  The ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience, hold a PhD, be a member of RPA, and be currently permitted or capable of securing permits to oversee projects in various land jurisdictions across the West.  This will be a regular, full-time, salaried position.

We are looking for a motivated individual intent on making a significant contribution to our dynamic team.  The successful candidate will possess solid relationships with clients and regulatory agency specialists, excellent writing skills, financial aptitude, a solid resume of research credentials, and a commitment to mentoring as a means of advancing the discipline.

The Principal Investigator will be responsible for directing research in the Rocky Mountain Region, ensuring that all aspects of fieldwork and reporting meet the high standards our clients have come to expect. This individual will help develop business as part of a PaleoWest team, prepare proposals, and interact with other PaleoWest Principal Investigators.

The salary negotiated will be based on experience, the potential to develop projects, and the documented ability to function as a key member of a project team.  A performance-based bonus plan will also be part of the compensation package, and other benefits will be added following an introductory period of employment.

Send letter of interest and resume to:

The most important aspect of this list is that it is for one purpose only.: announcing jobs/non paying volunteer postings in the international CRM field at all levels; Field Tech, Professors, SHPOs, etc...  Caveat Emptor though my friends.  Not all jobs pay the same, nor is their treatment of employees the same - as the companies are checking your references, you should also check them out - make sure they pay fair wages, treat their employees professionally, and do quality work.  If you have at least a BA you deserve fair remuneration, so ask for it, and in turn you provide your employer with excellent service.   You ARE a trained professional, NOT a "shovelbum"  - the name is in jest - act professional, expect to be treated like one.
