Analytical Environmental Services (AES), a Sacramento based environmental consulting firm, is seeking an experienced archaeologist.​ The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers to oversee field studies and reporting in compliance with Section 106, NEPA, CEQA, and other regulatory frameworks.​

Applicants must have an advanced degree in archeology, anthropology or closely related field and be a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) in good standing.​ The successful candidate will have previous California experience, excellent technical writing skills, experience supervising field crews, demonstrated command of federal and California cultural resource laws/​regulations, experience evaluating prehistoric and/​or historic resources, and ability to travel overnight on short notice.​
