Paleontologist - 110387
Las Vegas, NV
Description: HDR EOC currently has an opening for a Paleontologist to work on a two-year transmission line project across Nevada. Field duties would include field monitoring, inspection of high and moderate sensitivity areas, identification of key fossils, and the ability to react quickly to changing environments and schedules. Daily field notes will be required, along with monthly reports.
Requirements: Master's degree in Geology or Earth Science. 5+ years of field experience in the great Basin and/or Nevada area is preferred. Ability to obtain or currently hold a BLM Permit for the State of Nevada. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer skills are essential, experience with computer modeling, data analysis and integration, digital mapping, remote sensing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is recommended. Must demonstrate knowledge of and experience with project compliance-related activities including consultation, quality assurance and reviews. Willingness to work under varied weather conditions.
This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with HDR's vehicle policy.
This position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test and drug and alcohol testing during the course of your employment based upon HDR's Drug Testing and Drug Free Workplace Policy.
