Requirements

  • Position duration is May through September.
  • Experience in ND, SD, MT, or WY (Great Plains Region)
  • Bachelors Degree preferred in Anthropology or Archaeology
  • A minimum of 6 months of field experience.

Job Description
The Archaeologist I functions as a field and lab technician, with the possibility for advancement as the individual gains knowledge and responsibility. Responsibilities include conducting archaeological fieldwork-including survey, testing, and mitigation; site recordation and reporting procedures; report writing; other duties as assigned. Travel is an essential aspect of this position, with the expectation of extended time in the field during the field season.

  • Work will be focused primarily in North Dakota.
  • An hourly rate plus per diem and lodging when on a job site.
