POSITION: FIELD DIRECTOR (full-time, permanent).

LOCATION: This position will be based in Prince George, B.C. but may involve travel throughout B.C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates must have a M.A. or B.A in Anthropology / Archaeology, and experience managing projects and directing archaeological assessments in western Canada. Ability to hold permits in B.C. is necessary.
POSITION DISCRIPTION: This position entails managing projects from background research to report submission. Responsibilities include: report writing, conducting, supervising and tracking fieldwork, and laboratory analysis. Field Directors/Project Managers must possess excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills as well as demonstrate attention to detail. Field Directors/Project Managers will be required to work closely with the Owner & Operations Manager.
Work often takes place in remote areas in variable weather and terrain conditions so excellent physical fitness is required, as is the willingness and ability to travel and be away for extended periods of time, occasionally on short notice. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills are essential. A Class 5 driver's license and experience with off-road vehicles is also necessary.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $ 65000.00 to $85,000 per year. Salary will reflect the applicants experience and education. Applicants must be willing to relocate.
