GIS TECHNICIAN POSITION AVAILABLE
Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc.’s (MAC) Regional Office in Bismarck, ND is looking to hire 1 or 2 GIS Technicians for the 2012 field season.
MAC is an employee-owned cultural resource management firm that, over the past 30 years, has built a reputation as a highly professional and competitive consulting firm by working closely with clients and local, tribal, state, and federal agencies to ensure timely compliance with cultural resource and environmental regulations.
This position is hourly and temporary with the majority of time being spent in the office working at a computer. Candidates should have a BA/BS in archaeology, anthropology, or a GIS-related discipline. Prior experience with GIS software is required and familiarity with ESRI’s ArcGIS 9 and 10 is highly preferable. Archaeological fieldwork may also be required for individuals in this position.
Wages range from $13 -$17/hour based on educational level and work experience. Per diem and lodging are provided for projects that require overnight stay. Some insurance plans and other benefits are also available for this position. For more information please see the job posting on our website.
