ARCHAEOLOGICAL ON-CALL MONITORS NEEDED FOR AN ON-GOING PROJECT LOCATED IN THE MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA AREA
Pacific Legacy, Inc., a Cultural Resources Management firm, is seeking temporary, non-exempt, field technicians experienced in archaeological monitoring. Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or related field, and at least two years of archaeology monitoring experience and experience working on historic sites and historic artifact identification. Candidates living in or in close proximity to Marysville will be given priority consideration.
Job Duties:
- Monitoring (on-call, both day and night shifts)
- Site and Feature mapping
- Detailed daily monitoring notes
- Artifact Photography
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is:
- Positive, motivated, ability to work independently, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work day and/or night 8 hour shifts
- Experienced in monitoring and historic archaeology
- Ability to work with supervisors, construction crews and state agency personnel
Compensation: Salary determined based on experience.
