SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking an Archaeologist to support a project in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Candidate must be available to start immediately. This is a full-time, temporary position reporting to the Project Manager. Pay rate will be based on individual qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
Supervising field crews and office staff under the direction of a Project Manager;
Conducting archaeological monitoring, survey, testing, and data recovery;
Contributing to team efforts during field and lab/office work;
Participating in and coordinating lab personnel in technical research and technical writing;
Assisting the Project Manager with project set-up and launch, scheduling and budgets, and communicating an understanding of undertaking to field and lab personnel; and
Communicating with other Field Directors, Project Managers, and GIS staff through regular, scheduled field status reports.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in anthropology or a closely related field. Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience with a range of field methodologies; including survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring.
Regional experience in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota.
