Field workers needed for survey in southern Michigan
CCRG's Jackson, Michigan office is accepting vitae from experienced field workers for a Phase I survey in southern Michigan. We are will be hiring up to 6 field workers (4 field techs, 1 crew chief, 1 gps operator) to start on April 16, 2012. The project should last for 3-4 weeks. Crew will be working 10 hours per day/6 days per week. There is also the possibility that the work week will be increased to 7 days.
Hourly rate for experienced field techs is $13.50 per hour. Per diem stipend of $39.00 per work day will be provided up front each week. No receipts are required for spent per diem. Housing will consist of single occupancy motel rooms. We will cover motel rooms on weekends for those who live a distance from the project area.
While the minimum qualification for a field tech position with CCRG is completion of a field school, preference will be given to those with actual CRM experience. The ideal candidate would have experience with Phase I surveys and/or using hand held GPS units.
Please send vitae to Mary Jeakle either by mail, email or fax (see numbers below). If you have submitted your vita to CCRG within the last year you do not need to submit new vita. Vitae should include the following information: length of field experience (in months or years), type of experience (i. e. Phase I, II, III), positions held (i. e. field tech, crew chief, etc), and special skills (i. e. sub meter gps, total station, etc). Please indicate the date on which you are available to start work.
All applicants must include at least three references (with current phone numbers) able to judge your field work. Please make sure your contact and reference information is up to date. To avoid our spam filter, please include the word "VITA" in your message title.
All employees of CCRG must adhere to the standards of our Workplace Drug and Alcohol program. This program may include random drug testing. Anyone failing a drug test will be immediately fired.

The most important aspect of this list is that it is for one purpose only.: announcing jobs/non paying volunteer postings in the international CRM field at all levels; Field Tech, Professors, SHPO's, etc... Caveat Emptor though my friends. Not all jobs pay the same, nor is their treatment of employees the same - as the companies are checking your references, you should also check them out - make sure they pay fair wages, treat their employees professionally, and do quality work. If you have at least a BA you deserve fair remuneration, so ask for it, and in turn you provide your employer with excellent service. You ARE a trained professional, NOT a "shovelbum" - the name is in jest - act professional, expect to be treated like one.
