FIELD ARCHAEOLOGIST POSITION NEEDED IMMEDIATELY FOR AN UPCOMING PROJECT LOCATED IN BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA
Pacific Legacy, Inc., a Cultural Resources Management firm, is seeking an experienced field archaeologist to work on a Phase I project in Bakersfield California. Fieldwork is expected to last two months. Daily food allowance and motel will be provided if candidate is not local.
Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or related field and at least five years of field experience. Documented OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is essential. The 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher course will be provided to the successful candidate whose certification is not current.
Job Duties:
- Intensive survey and site recording
- Site and Feature mapping
- Basic GIS data collection
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is:
- Positive, motivated, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in hot, dry conditions
- Experienced in California and Central Valley in particular
Compensation: Salary determined based on experience.
