[ShovelBums.Org] AECOM - Sr. Archaeologist

 

We are seeking a Senior Archaeologist for our Southern California District. Flexibility in home office location for the right person. This person will be responsible for managing cultural resources projects, from preparing work plans and research designs through fieldwork and report writing, to preparing cultural resources sections of CEQA and NEPA documents.

This person should have a thorough understanding of federal and state laws and regulations for cultural resources and historic preservation. Existing clients include federal (Nationwide), state, local government and private sector agencies. They should have ability to work closely and professionally with clients, supervisors, staff from other environmental disciplines, and junior staff. Good interpersonal skills, writing skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Travel may be required. MA Anthropology, Archaeology preferred,plus a minimum of 5 years of consulting experience or combination of agency/consulting experience. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
